Packing up and heading to @sebringraceway tomorrow for #pboc Winterfest! Bringing the essentials. And maybe an extra shirt… or something.
After being worried about missing my flight, it’s now slightly delayed and I’m waiting for the boarding call. New Year but travel adventures stay the same! Sebring bound!!!
(Save me from the screaming children)
Doing some all systems checks on the car before practice tonight. Christina and I will be trading off to warm up for the dark stints tomorrow!
Video of – Night practice in full swing! @christinaylam in the car!
Video of – Sebring Wednesday Night practice 2018!
All gridded up for the 6 hour enduro! Lynn is in the car first for the start, we go green at 3pm. You can follow along on Race Monitor!
Nearing the halfway mark, we were running in second when @christinaylam lost the front wheel in T1… no damage to the car! Repairing as fast as we can and sending her back out!!!
The studs shear as I’m exiting T1 at Sebring during PBOC’s 6 hour night enduro. You can see the wheel bouncing next to me as I pilot the car into the grass. Tow truck pulled me in, and DriverGear Racing put on a new hub, studs, and wheel, and we were back on track. The rotor put a hole through the barrel of the wheel when it came off. No other damage to the car. We finished P3 at the end of the night.
Video of – Christina Lam – Video of loosing front left tire. When the car drops a little, watch the wall behind the car and you will see the tire following the car.
After a very challenging 6 hour race, the team managed to take the checkered in third place. I’m super proud of my team mates as they did phenomenal! Now to go over the car thoroughly to make sure it’s 100% ready for the rest of the season!
