NASANE DRIVER’S SERIES

NAME: Amy Dilks
NICKNAME: Stripes
CAR: 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
CLASS: PTB/TTB
NUMBER: 551

Q: HOW LONG AGO DID YOU START?
A: My first track day was in April 2010

Q: HOW DID YOU GET EXPOSED TO THE SPORT?
A: I got into watching WRC on TV in high school, never thought racing was something I could do myself until the shop that was doing work to my carĀ (EFI Logics) and running 3 ST2 cars with NASA suggested I check it out.

Q: IF YOU HAD TO GUESS, HOW MANY TRACK DAYS HAVE YOU DONE?
A: More than 50, less than 100. I used to count, now I’ve completely lost track.

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR 2016 GOALS?
A: I’m always trying to push myself to bigger and better things. Always try to improve and drive against the best. Definitely going to Nationals, and of course defend the regional title.

Q: IF YOU COULD TRACK ANY CAR, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
A: I’d love to drive the original RCM “Gobstopper” Impreza, since its just so bonkers and was one of the first cars to really capture my attention in track racing. The new Ford GT racer isn’t a bad option either.

Q: WHAT OTHER HOBBY DO YOU LIKE?
A: Snowboarding. Usually get a ton of snow time in the off season. Feeds the need for speed while the tracks are closed.

Q: WHATS YOUR FAVORITE CARTOON?
A: Ghost in the Shell.
